10 – 75910 Porsche 918 Spyder

Price: £12.99 / $14.99 / €14.99 Pieces: 151 Release date: March 1, 2015

75910 porsche 918 spyder speed champions 1024x514

75910 Porsche 918 Spyder is one of the original LEGO Speed Champions vehicles from over a decade ago. Though it might be the strongest of the initial selection, this set demonstrates the potential for the theme and the limitations of the six-wide era.

75910 Porsche 918 Spyder's shaping is faithful given the scale and offers some notable part usage compared to the rest of the original selection, using slopes, angled plates and brackets to their full potential.

9 – 76902 McLaren Elva

Price: £17.99 / $19.99 / €19.99 Pieces: 263 Release date: June 1, 2021

76902 McLaren Elva Speed Champions 1024x582

The lack of a windscreen makes the McLaren Elva a wildly different car for Speed Champions to cover but much like 75910 Porsche 918 Spyder, 76902 McLaren Elva manages to stay faithful to the original design and offers a different experience for Speed Champions aficionados.

The open concept of this car presents an interesting challenge to the Speed Champions designers since the interior will always be on show, but the team overcame the challenges and created one of the most experimental builds in LEGO Speed Champions' history.

8 – 76904 Mopar Dodge//SRT Top Fuel Dragster and 1970 Dodge Challenger T/A

Price: £54.99 / $49.99 / €59.99 Pieces: 627 Release date: June 1, 2021

76904 scaled

Dragsters are already uncommon across the LEGO portfolio, but there's only ever been one in Speed Champions in the form of 76904 Mopar Dodge//SRT Top Fuel Dragster and 1970 Dodge Challenger T/A. Half of the contents of the 2021 set depict the dragster with an increased level of detail compared to any other LEGO dragster we've seen before.

Years later, there's still nothing quite like 76904 Mopar Dodge//SRT Top Fuel Dragster and 1970 Dodge Challenger T/A, demonstrating how occasionally varied the theme can be.

7 – 75913 F14 T & Scuderia Ferrari Truck

Price: £79.99 / $99.99 / €99.99 Pieces: 884 Release date: March 1, 2015

75913 F14 T Scuderia Ferrari Truck speed champions 1024x658

Formula 1 trucks are not a concept created by LEGO Speed Champions, but the vehicles depicted in 75913 F14 T & Scuderia Ferrari Truck remain some of the most underrated from the past decade.

LEGO Speed Champions' usual set sizes don't lend themselves well to big rigs, yet 75913 F14 T & Scuderia Ferrari Truck proves that they can work in the highly-detailed theme. This set even started the eight-wide era of LEGO Speed Champions a few years early.

6 – 76935 NASCAR Next Gen Chevrolet Camaro ZL1

Price: £20.99 / $26.99 / €26.99 Pieces: 328 Release date: August 1, 2024

After being represented in LEGO Technic, LEGO Speed Champions' take on 76935 NASCAR Next Gen Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 features more detailed decorations that, while adding plenty of stickers to the set, speak for themselves in terms of effectiveness.

From the transparent spoiler to the hidden American flag, 76935 NASCAR Next Gen Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is an eye-catching LEGO Speed Champions set with plenty of secrets to admire.

5 – 76906 1970 Ferrari 512 M

Price: £19.99 / $19.99 / €24.99 Pieces: 291 Release date: March 1, 2022

Speed Champions 76906 1970 Ferrari 512 M contents 1024x467

76906 1970 Ferrari 512 M would almost certainly have a spot on the list of one-of-a-kind LEGO Speed Champions sets with a vintage design that has never been approached since.

The 2022 LEGO Speed Champions car is a great tribute to the 1970 vehicle that uses every inch of the eight-wide era to its benefit, properly recreating the car with every possible detail, and a stylish minifigure to boot.

4 – 76916 Porsche 963

Price: £19.99 / $24.99 / €24.99 Pieces: 280 Release date: March 1, 2023

LEGO Speed Champions 76916 Porsche 963 1024x552

76916 Porsche 963 may have been overshadowed in the LEGO Speed Champions March 2023 wave by the likes of 76918 McLaren Solus GT & McLaren F1 LM, but the track car recreation is one LEGO Speed Champions set not to miss, as you can read about in our review.

That's despite the truly monumental number of stickers that need to be applied but the effort is worth it in the end. They combine with the shaping to form a unique LEGO Speed Champions package that is easily one of the theme's most underrated builds.

3 – 76923 Lamborghini Lambo V12 Vision Gran Turismo

Price: £20.99 / $26.99 / €26.99 Pieces: 230 Release date: June 1, 2024

76923 1024x768

Speaking of unique LEGO Speed Champions models, look no further than 76923 Lamborghini Lambo V12 Vision Gran Turismo for a building experience like no other.

The game-based vehicle has many holes in its design, which simply can't be captured in a LEGO Speed Champions set but in order to keep everything suitably sturdy, the Speed Champions designers opted to use black elements instead, maintaining the unique appearance of the Gran Turismo car in a one-of-a-kind build that you have to experience to believe.

2 – 75885 Ford Fiesta M-Sport WRC

Price: £12.99 / $14.99 / €14.99 Pieces: 203 Release date: March 1, 2018

75885

Hopefully, Speed Champions will one day return to the world of rally racing, but in the meantime, we can look back on the iconic 75885 Ford Fiesta M-Sport WRC with fondness.

With its customisable features, exclusive minifigure and a type of car not often seen in LEGO Speed Champions, we can only hope that you're not only just finding out about this model now. 75885 Ford Fiesta M-Sport WRC retired in 2019.

1 – 76917 2 Fast 2 Furious Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34)

Price: £19.99 / $19.99 / €24.99 Pieces: 319 Release date: January 1, 2023

76917 1024x768

The second LEGO Speed Champions set based on the Fast & Furious franchise didn't quite have as much shock value as 76912 Fast & Furious 1970 Dodge Charger R/T, but there's still plenty to love in this model as much as it has some of the least forgiving stickers in the history of the theme.

76917 2 Fast 2 Furious Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34)'s effective reliance on decorated elements, exclusive Brian O’Conner minifigure and detailer interior offer something for movie and car fans alike to admire while expanding the LEGO Speed Champions Fast & Furious selection in a meaningful tribute.
