One of LEGO 10332 Medieval Town Square's companion sets can be downsized

LEGO Icons 10332 Medieval Town Square has two companion sets but one isn't quite to the same scale – an issue which can be easily remedied.

Before it releases on March 1 for LEGO Insiders for March 4 widely, 10332 Medieval Town Square's product page confirms that both 10305 Lion Knights' Castle and the retired 21325 Medieval Blacksmith are good picks to display alongside it.

10305 Lion Knights' Castle is by far the most compatible despite the lack of connection points as the tower in 10332 Medieval Town Square is directly inspired by the massive model. While it has a LEGO Castle factions and a medieval setting, LEGO Ideas 21325 Medieval Blacksmith's size puts the top of its roof slightly higher than that tower and the scale is a bit off because of this.

For comparison, 10305 Lion Knights' Castle is 38cm tall, 10332 Medieval Town Square is 25cm tall and 21325 Medieval Blacksmith is 27cm tall, but the latter's scale isn't quite the same as the other two Medieval models as it preceded them.

Thankfully, LEGO models can be taken apart as easily as they are put together as we've previously done with 21325 Medieval Blacksmith and Gr33tje13's barn alternate build. The scale of this build is closer to 10332 Medieval Town Square and it should pair with the cheese factory's goat as well as the included wagon well.

The user has also rebuilt the model into a watermill – something from 10193 Medieval Market Village that is missing from 21325 Medieval Blacksmith. DrMattBricks's stable model is closer to scale with 10332 Medieval Town Square and something that every medieval town needs.

It's worth pointing out that, just as 21341 Disney Hocus Pocus: The Sanderson Sisters' Cottage pairs well with 21325 Medieval Blacksmith, the LEGO Ideas Disney set can be rebuilt too. A tavern from the aptly-named Tavernellos is available on Rebrickable to fit better with 10332 Medieval Town Square, which just so happens to include a pumpkin. It will still stand out due to its colour scheme though.

Whatever medieval plans you have in mind for 10332 Medieval Town Square, the new LEGO Icons set launches on March 1 for LEGO Insiders, of which membership is free.
