The LEGO Group's latest big build to be unveiled is a 265,000-piece mural designed to celebrate 60 years of Singapore, built with the help of guests.
The mural is being displayed in partnership with the National Museum of Singapore and is made up of 265,743 pieces, making it the largest LEGO mural in Singapore. It depicts a row of colourful houses representing the culture of Singapore in the 1960s.

“Our Singapore story is a shared one," said Low Yen Ling, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth & Ministry of Trade and Industry. "It is fitting that we commemorate SG60 by coming together as a community in celebration of our unique identity, culture and heritage.
"This record-breaking mural is symbolic of our strength and unity - brick by brick, every Singaporean has helped build this nation we call home. I am delighted to see this partnership between the LEGO Group and the National Museum of Singapore, which invites all Singaporeans to celebrate our nation’s journey and contribute to our shared story.”

“LEGO bricks and play have long been a tool for storytelling and imagination, able to connect generations and inspire pride in creations," added Ágnes Molnár, Marketing Director of Singapore, Malaysia and APAC Travel Retail, the LEGO Group. "We are honoured to partner with the National Museum of Singapore to celebrate SG60 and the country’s community spirit with visitors of all ages through the universal language of play and creativity.”
The mural is not yet complete, and guests can add the final pieces to the record-breaking model from July 18 to August 9 in the Stamford Gallery at the National Museum of Singapore. It's part of the Stories of Singapore: Building Our Heritage, Brick by Brick exhibition, which also features a LEGO Hawker man model, and iconic Singaporean landmarks such as the Changi Airport Control Tower and Bumboats along the Singapore River on display.

Local dishes are also represented, including LEGO builds of Hainanese Chicken Rice, Chilli Crab, and Singaporean breakfast featuring kaya butter toast with soft-boiled eggs. A miniature LEGO orchid make and take event is also taking place at the exhibition, while stocks last.
Most notably, The Wacky Duo have visited the exhibition and report that there's an exclusive minifigure gift-with-purchase available with qualifying LEGO sets worth S$128 or more from July 27 to August 31, and you can score a free minifigure with your museum ticket at Singapore's LEGO Certified Stores between July 7 and August 10.
For those in the region, it looks to be worth a visit, at least to admire the massive mural and the other models on display. Head to the Stamford Gallery at the National Museum of Singapore before August 9 to take part.
