The latest addition to LEGO Castle's legacy is just under a week away and there's a lot to know about the Wolfpack ahead of 71048 Series 27.
LEGO Castle has become one of the most iconic themes from the early eras thanks in no small part to its recognisable factions. In the modern continuation of LEGO Castle, many of these factions have returned with new sets including in
This classic LEGO Castle group may not be the biggest, but their rugged nature and roguish colour scheme have helped them earn their spot in LEGO history with a new member and (finally) a wolf joining the team as part of
The good old days
There are only three fully-fledged LEGO Wolfpack sets in all of LEGO Castle and otherwise members of the faction have appeared across various builds, usually lurking in the background as they seek to steal what they can.
6075 Wolfpack Tower and 6038 Wolfpack Renegades both display the red and black colour scheme of the faction and the sizes of both builds display their rugged nature, with a fortress that struggles to compare to any of the other faction's castles. That strategy has continued in the modern era of LEGO Castle, but there's always been one confusing aspect about their name that has finally been amended with
...without wolves for a while

Despite their namesake, the Wolfpack have never once been depicted with a wolf (as an animal, not on their emblem) before
The modern era
The Wolfpack have been one of many factions to return in the modern era of LEGO Castle, first appearing in the Series 16 minifigure series with the Rogue minifigure wearing a pin of the faction's emblem, but a lot more subtly than other members have. Whether they are undercover or looted the item from a proper Wolfpack member is up for debate.
Otherwise, one of the original LEGO Wolfpack sets was referenced in 2023's
