Adorable Pusheen project stirs up success on LEGO Ideas

Claire Belton and Andrew Duff's comic strip phenomenon might be getting a LEGO Ideas set next as Pusheen makes waves on the platform.

Pusheen turns 15 years old this year, originating as the star of a comic strip on Claire Belton and Andrew Duff's website. Since then, the adorable cartoon cat has gone on to inspire all kinds of merchandise, collaborations with video games and an official YouTube channel.

While you might not have known this cat's name, you've probably seen the adorably simplistic face of Pusheen somewhere on the internet. Now she has inspired a LEGO Ideas project, which hit 10,000 supporters overnight.

Tanuki_brikz has created a six-inch-tall depiction of Pusheen with a pizza, crisps and cookies to hold. It's a simple but effective build and one that could be achieved relatively inexpensively for the LEGO Group, only requiring one printed piece or sticker overall.

For now, the LEGO Pusheen project enters the second 2025 review as part of a notable group of builds to reach 10,000 supporters overnight. We shall have to see whether it can find success in this round, similar to Snoopy earlier this year.
