One of the best LEGO Star Wars 2022 minifigures will be free with a future magazine

An upcoming issue of the LEGO Star Wars magazine is set to include one of last year’s best minifigures from a galaxy far, far away.

The current issue of the official LEGO Star Wars magazine in the UK offers the chance to build your 212th Clone Trooper army, courtesy of the orange-tinted trooper from 75337 AT-TE Walker. The next minifigure will arrive two months later – with a buildable X-wing in between – but it’s probably not one you’ll want to buy in such vast quantities.

It's still worth a look-in, though – especially if you don’t already own 75333 Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Jedi Starfighter. The Attack of the Clones set launched in August 2022 as one of the few LEGO Star Wars models released for the middle prequel movie’s 20th anniversary, and includes the most detailed depiction of the Jedi Master’s Episode II appearance we’ve seen to date.

As confirmed by Instagram user cgphoenix, that very same minifigure will be attached to the front of Issue 95 of the LEGO Star Wars magazine, which should debut on store shelves in the UK in May. And while the recent Bo-Katan Kryze freebie forewent the character’s alternate hairpiece, including only her helmet, Obi-Wan comes complete with both his hood and hair.

He’s also equipped with his trusty lightsaber, as per 75333 Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Jedi Starfighter. But the real beauty of this minifigure is that it’s the perfect basis for creating your own generic Jedi minifigures, because nothing about Obi-Wan’s torso or legs is specific to that particular character.

So even if you don’t want to amass a Kenobi army on the scale of your Clone Trooper legions – and if you do already own 75333 Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Jedi Starfighter – you might still find it worth grabbing at least a couple of copies of the LEGO Star Wars magazine come May.
