More clues to mystery LEGO Star Wars 25th-anniversary minifigure

The LEGO Group has published a couple of clues to the identity of its next LEGO Star Wars 25th-anniversary minifigure – and all signs are pointing in one direction…

Darth Malak and ARC Trooper Fives are the first of six different unique LEGO Star Wars minifigures on the way in 2024 to celebrate the theme’s 25th anniversary, and the third now looks set to be coming in the rumoured 75383 Sith Infiltrator. A silhouette of the model is publicly visible on LEGO.com’s LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary landing page, teasing an accompanying mystery character.

While the generic silhouette likely doesn’t pertain to the design of the minifigure in question – Malak and Fives are both shown at three-quarter angles, while the silhouette is head-on – the character’s attributes give us a little bit to go on. Like Fives and Malak, the mysterious minifigure has three different symbols correlating to facets of the character: in this case, a star, lightning bolt and heart.

The meaning behind the star has yet to be revealed, but the lightning bolt is listed as ‘Cybernetic’ on Darth Malak, while Fives’ heart symbol apparently means ‘Loyal’. That presumably means we’re looking at a loyal character with cybernetics. Consider that the tagline for the mystery minifigure is ‘rebel without a cause’, and there’s only one viable candidate that springs to mind: Saw Gerrera.

Possibly the biggest hole in the LEGO Star Wars minifigure line-up at the moment, Saw Gerrera has so far appeared across movies, TV shows, video games and novels – but has yet to debut in tiny plastic form. The 25th anniversary of the LEGO Star Wars theme would be the perfect time to bring him to shelves, and given the disconnect between the first two characters and their sets, it’s easy to see him showing up in a Sith Infiltrator.

This is only speculation for the time being, and even the existence of a new Sith Infiltrator has yet to be outright confirmed by the LEGO Group (though it’s hard to see that silhouette being anything else). Still, a first-ever Saw Gerrera minifigure would be a definite coup for the theme as it turns a quarter of a century old…
