The community is split on one LEGO Star Wars 2025 set

The LEGO Star Wars community can't fully agree on the 2025 sets as one part of 75401 Ahsoka’s Jedi Interceptor has split the community in two.

The early reveal of three (or four not counting images) LEGO Star Wars 2025 models by Smyths Toys France has the community practically shaking with excitement with analysis and discussions already starting before the sets have been officially revealed.

Admittedly, the excitement surrounding 75410 Mando & Grogu’s N-1 Starfighter and 75404 Acclamator-Class Assault Transport is much less than that of the other two upcoming models. This is likely due to the former not having images and the latter lacking much new content.

Instead, it's 75405 Home One Starcruiser and 75401 Ahsoka’s Jedi Interceptor that has the community the most excited, though there's much more discussion surrounding the former for good reason.

Over on X, there are plenty of enthusiasts looking forward to 75405 Home One Starcruiser including Josh and Marco_Milk, the latter of which points out that a tiny LEGO Hera from Ahsoka and Rebels is included in the midi-scale ship. Hopefully, official imagery will clarify what other Easter eggs are included inside the ship.

Most – including PenPlays – focus on 75401 Ahsoka’s Jedi Interceptor and its new minifigures including an updated Anakin Ahsoka from a specific episode of The Clone Wars and with outfits that have scarcely been represented in minifigure form.

For instance, Ahsoka in her red top only appears in 75046 Coruscant Police Gunship and 75013 Umbaran MHC (Mobile Heavy Cannon) with longer legs and stylised eyes. In 75401 Ahsoka’s Jedi Interceptor, you'll be able to pick up a more accurate version of the character, adding to the many minifigures Ahsoka has had in recent years.

Over on Reddit, a post specifically discussing one aspect of 75401 Ahsoka’s Jedi Interceptor has surfaced, splitting the opinions of the community regarding this 2025 set. 75401 Ahsoka’s Jedi Interceptor has 290 pieces and minifigures of Ahsoka, Anakin and R7-A7 for €44.99. That will presumably translate to around £40 / $45 but this has yet to be confirmed.

Assuming that our estimations are accurate, that's a high price compared to every other LEGO Jedi Interceptor, even with the appealing minifigures. The last full-sized Jedi Interceptor set (in this style) was 75281 Anakin's Jedi Interceptor from 2020 for £24.99 / $29.99 / €29.99 with two minifigures as well as 248 elements.

The price has spurred ShoppingEquivalent55 to start a discussion on Reddit and the comments reveal that not everyone in the community is not entirely pleased with the new set.

"I don’t want to ever hear anyone saying 'but the mini figures'. They somehow tried to justify Jedi Bob’s $40 fighter with figures, now there’ll be this $45 one," shared ihavenosoul-dude.

"At some point, we‘ll be able to find the set for 30-35 bucks (which is still pricy), so just wait a few weeks or months after it gets released to get a better price," agreed DarthXader996, predicting future sales.

Armoured_lemon pointed out the cockpit is not entirely accurate, as we reported recently: "I'm disappointed the new canopy piece doesn't open like it does in the movies, as a separate window section from the rest of the canopy."

The combination of the inaccurate cockpit and the price with the positive points including the new minifigures have split opinions on 75401 Ahsoka’s Jedi Interceptor. We'll have to see how the community reacts to the model when the set is released on January 1, 2025. Click here to see what else is rumoured and confirmed for LEGO Star Wars next year.
