The Lord of the Rings double LEGO Insiders points event should be coming soon

It's April 2 in Australia, and the LEGO Group's double LEGO Insiders points deal on the previous huge The Lord of the Rings sets is no prank.

10354 The Lord of the Rings: The Shire has just been released in Australia as April 2 dawns, and to celebrate the third LEGO The Lord of the Rings flagship model, the LEGO Group is offering double LEGO Insiders points on the previous two models until April 8. It's the last day to earn double points on a different selection of sets, too.

The double points deal is available on both 10316 The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell and 10333 The Lord of the Rings: Barad-dûr, essentially offering a 10% discount (when you put those points towards a saving on a future purchase) on two sets that aren't available at many other retailers and are rarely on sale.

Major deals such as this that go live in Australia usually come to other regions once their time zones catch up, and we can only hope that the same will happen with this The Lord of the Rings offer. This is only speculation, but it's exactly what happened with the last double points deal last month.

This offer should make it easier to catch up on the three massive and current LEGO The Lord of the Rings sets, but note that these two models are the only ones included in the deal.

Despite being advertised on its listing, this deal does not include 10354 The Lord of the Rings: The Shire. Excluding it makes sense as it has only just been released in the region. You can still score the free 40761 The Lord of the Rings: Sméagol & Déagol exclusively with it while stocks last or until April 8.

Hopefully, other regions will receive this same deal tomorrow to celebrate the launch of 10354 The Lord of the Rings: The Shire, but this is not currently confirmed.
