LEGO City sets for 2025 include scrapyard and new vehicles

An online retailer has provided us with our first look at five new LEGO City sets that are expected to launch on January 1, 2025.

Following a first reveal of multiple LEGO Star Wars sets for 2025 today, Smyths Toys France has now confirmed more upcoming models for early next year. The retailer’s site had listings for five LEGO City sets due to launch on January 1 (now removed, but reported by The Brick Fan), with a distinct vehicle theme present in all of the builds.

The LEGO City set reveals include 60447 Off-Road Mountain Truck, 60448 Sports Car, 60451 Emergency Ambulance, 60453 Lifeguard Truck and 60472 Scrapyard, all of which had been previously rumoured to be arriving in 2025.

60447 Off-Road Mountain Truck

Price: €19.99 Pieces: 221 Release date: January 1, 2025

60447 Off-Road Mountain Truck looks to continue some of this year’s recent Jungle-themed LEGO City sets. The 221-piece chunky vehicle features sturdy tyres, a front winch, multiple items of equipment and what looks to be an explorer minifigure.

60448 Sports Car

Price: €9.99 Pieces: 109 Release date: January 1, 2025

Take to the streets of LEGO City with 60448 Sports Car, a bright red vehicle complete with a driver minifigure sporting sunglasses. The 109-piece car has an opening boot for storing a spray bottle, cloth and mobile phone accessories.

60451 Emergency Ambulance

Price: €19.99 Pieces: 184 Release date: January 1, 2025

Next up is 60451 Emergency Ambulance, the latest iteration of a familiar LEGO City vehicle. This time around you’re looking at a 184-piece build that features opening rear and side doors for easy access, a wheeled stretcher and two minifigures.

60453 Lifeguard Truck

Price: €24.99 Pieces: 214 Release date: January 1, 2025

The LEGO City theme will add another distinctive vehicle to its 2025 line-up, in the shape of 60453 Lifeguard Truck. The 214-piece build has a distinctive orange, red and black colour scheme, with multiple surfing accessories, two minifigures and a shark figure.

60472 Scrapyard

Price: €79.99 Pieces: 871 Release date: January 1, 2025

The first batch of LEGO City 2025 set reveals is rounded out with the largest of the five models, 60472 Scrapyard. This 871-piece playset comes with two customisable cars to wreck or repair, a large grabber claw, what may be a compactor and four minifigures.

None of the LEGO City sets listed above have yet to appear on LEGO.com, but as soon as they do we’ll bring you full details and international pricing.
