After a huge year for LEGO Ideas, there were over a dozen projects approved for future sets, and many more that were unfortunately rejected.
As LEGO Ideas moves into 2026, the team have approved many models for future official sets this year, both licensed and original, but inevitably far more have rejected for this opportunity.
You might know what LEGO Ideas projects have been approved in 2025, but here's a reminder, as well as a guide to what submissions were unfortunately not approved for sets by the team this year.
LEGO Ideas projects approved in 2025
A total of 10 LEGO Ideas sets were approved in the normal form this year, ranging from Godzilla to Downton Abbey and original creations such as La Catrina and an otter sculpture. You can see all of the approved entries in the gallery above, but there are a few more to note.
In addition to this selection, six projects were approved for two gifts-with-purchase and four standard sets by way of contests. These have been included in the separate gallery below, covering Castle and miniature painting. One has even had its final set revealed, launching on January 1, 2026. That means 16 submissions approved in total.
LEGO Ideas projects that entered the parking lot in 2025
The LEGO Ideas team's debut of the parking lot in 2025 has led to four models awaiting further consideration at the end of 2025. Downton Abbey was once in this list, but has since been approved for a set. The four submissions still being considered can be found in the above gallery, including the creatively executed The Old Man and the Sea by Iyan ha.
LEGO Ideas projects rejected in 2025
While the above projects were approved, or are still being considered for a model, many more have been completely rejected, and their users will need to go through the LEGO Ideas 10,000 supporter-gathering process again to try for a second, third, fourth or further chance of success.
