Three new LEGO Ideas sets have been revealed in the first months of 2026, prompting an update to the list of models in production.
We're only a month and a half into 2026, but we've already had four new LEGO Ideas sets revealed. Three of these were based on approved fan-designed projects, and the other is
While we wait for these new sets to be released, except for
Sea Serpent

HallowedBrick02's Sea Serpent was the winner of the Twist of Nostalgia challenge, based on 1992's 6057 Sea Serpent. This is a future gift-with-purchase and the next set to come to shelves chronologically. As a gift-with-purchase, it may be saved for a later date, though.
Tintin - Space Rocket

Tkel86's Tintin rocket project will be our first LEGO set for the titular license. It has yet to be revealed or even teased. The original submission includes a launch tower, the iconic red and white rocket and a tan display base, but no minifigures of the key characters.
LEGO Godzilla

MattE720's Godzilla is also still on the way, but with no sign of its reveal at the time of writing. It seems safe to expect something on the larger side for this model, ideally at least somewhat to scale with LEGO buildings.
The X-Files: The Truth Is Out There

WetWired's X-Files is also still coming after winning half of the '90s IP challenge. The proposal is for a model that depicts the basement office with a UFO forest scene above it. As proven with
Wallace & Gromit

Pidelium's Wallace & Gromit project prompted the LEGO Group and Aardman to team up last year for the Boop campaign. We're still waiting for any further news on this model and partnership, but the proposed build was for figures of the duo on their iconic motorcycle with a sidecar.
Build, Paint and Play!

Doomslizer's Build, Paint and Play! is another upcoming LEGO Ideas gift-with-purchase, inspired by the world of miniature painting. The entry suggests LEGO models of a mat, paints, sprue, stickers, tools and even a complete miniature. While that proposed complete miniature is of a Classic Space astronaut, any minifigure could take that spot. We can only hope to see this model later this year.
Vintage Sewing Machine

BrickStability's Vintage Sewing Machine is a rare upcoming LEGO Ideas set not based on a license. It won a challenge for life-sized objects made out of LEGO last year and represents domestic history with elegant details.
E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial

Lafabrick’s buildable E.T. figure will see the license return to the LEGO portfolio following a minifigure in Dimensions. The proposed large figure includes a flowerpot, but whether this will be switched for any accessory or left out entirely in the final set is unknown at the time of writing.
La Catrina

Yop1172’s La Catrina will be another tribute to Mexican culture and Día de Muertos. It's likely going to be the biggest of the holiday's sets too, based on the towering figure proposed.
Smurf Village

The Half Blood Baron’s Smurf Village will see the license join the LEGO portfolio at long last. Their project proposes a series of buildings and accessories to lay out as you please and create a peaceful, nature-centric village.
Go Go Power Rangers!

TrumanBricks’ Go Go Power Rangers! project has also been approved for a LEGO Ideas set in the future, but there are no updates on it just yet. You might know the fan designer from
Ramen

Micdud’s Ramen project is highly detailed, but absolutely not for consumption. While we wait for an update on this build, know that it has caused the LEGO Group to ‘create new guidelines’.
Downton Abbey: Highclere Castle

Sebastian Veselka's Downton Abbey: Highclere Castle is one of the success stories of the Parking Lot system and is now due for an official set. It recreates the iconic castle with timely architecture and numerous minifigures, most of which would greatly benefit new prints.
Urban Face Sketcher

ArchGian7's Urban Face Sketcher was announced as the winner of the modular building gift-with-purchase contest earlier this year. The upcoming gift depicts a street vendor painting artwork of pedestrians passing by, which is an ideal opportunity for Easter eggs in the official set.

The parking lot
The LEGO Ideas parking lot is used to give projects more time to be considered, and currently features four projects. The Downton Abbey model is one success story of the system and it will be interesting to see whether the other four models in the parking lot have the same luck.
