Every LEGO set retiring in 2024 – May update

The LEGO summer 2024 sets are right around the corner, and some are already slated to retire this year – including the latest LEGO The Lord of the Rings entry.

It's a good time to be a LEGO fan at the moment, as we've been treated to the reveal of dozens of new models across multiple themes as well as a variety of May the 4th offers celebrating LEGO Star Wars. But amidst all that excitement, don't forget the older LEGO sets that won't be on shelves for much longer, as they retire to make way for all this new stuff (and whatever comes next).

Some retiring models were highlighted in the May the 4th deals and are temporarily out of stock. It's not just LEGO Star Wars that will be losing some sets for good later this year though as the ongoing life cycle of LEGO models continues apace.

LEGO Star Wars retiring sets 2024

May the 4th is over for another year, but there's still time to pick up a bunch of retiring LEGO Star Wars sets – including 75365 Yavin 4 Rebel Base.

LEGO Ideas retiring sets 2024

LEGO Ideas' selection of retiring sets remains unchanged this month, still featuring nine models leaving shelves later this year. The oldest of those is 21318 Tree House, which is finally set to depart after five years in production.

LEGO Marvel retiring sets 2024

As expected, the 2024 LEGO Marvel advent calendar – 76293 Spider-Man 2024 Advent Calendar – is retiring later this year shortly after it launches. These seasonal sets don't hang around for long.

While Indiana Jones is good at running from boulders, it seems that LEGO Indiana Jones isn't as good at running from retirement as the theme's full range is still scheduled to leave production in 2024.

LEGO Technic retiring sets 2024

LEGO Technic's range of retiring, complex sets for 2024 still includes many models inspired by everything from Porsche to The Batman.

LEGO Icons retiring sets 2024

Before 10341 NASA Artemis Space Launch System launches later this month, don't forget that several other LEGO Icons models are retiring later this year – among which is another NASA-focused set in 10283 NASA Space Shuttle Discovery.

LEGO Architecture retiring sets 2024

LEGO Architecture still has a duo of retiring sets for 2024, and you shouldn't expect much change from this theme over the rest of the year.

LEGO NINJAGO retiring sets 2024

There's a new Titan Mech on the way as part of the LEGO NINJAGO summer 2024 range, so don't wait to pick up the retiring 71785 Jay's Titan Mech.

LEGO DREAMZzz retiring sets 2024

A handful of LEGO DREAMZzz sets that only launched in early 2024 are scheduled to retire later this year at the time of writing, along with the theme's entire 2023 wave. The summer 2024 wave is going to last a bit longer.

LEGO Batman / DC Super Heroes retiring sets 2024

The brand new 76272 The Batcave with Batman, Batgirl and The Joker is scheduled to retire at the end of 2024, joining a list of older LEGO DC models.

There's no movement in LEGO Minecraft's retiring set list for 2024 this month, though the theme is anything but quiet thanks to the recent reveal of its summer sets.
