LEGO Ideas could get a locally-sourced, brick-built apothecary – straight from the mind of none other than David Rose of Schitt's Creek.
The latest LEGO Ideas submission to reach 10,000 supporters includes two of the most beloved characters from Schitt's Creek and their store: David Rose and Patrick Brewer, housed in the minimalist Rose Apothecary. David made it his mission to bring quality products to Schitt's Creek and now all of those lifestyle items have now been immaculately recreated with LEGO elements by snorkel_maiden.
This isn't the first time that a Schitt's Creek-themed set has made it past 10,000 votes, with a model of the Rosebud Motel, designed by seemarkgeek, making it into the review stage back in 2020. While the motel wasn't successful, perhaps the apothecary will be met with more success.
The build captures the huge windows and red-brick exterior perfectly, giving way to the white-washed interior and dozens of jars, plants, and accessories dotting the shelves. There are also cute references to enjoy, such as a guitar to reference the romantic moment where Patrick sang to David for the first time, and the inclusion of wine, brie, and tapenade in the fridge (prime location to be nabbed in a humour-fueled robbery).
"You'll have to take my word for it but the sink in the bathroom comes off the wall very easily," writes the fan designer, referencing the scene where Alexis and Ted rip the sink off the wall while looking after the store for David.
All in all, there's plenty to love about the set – and it's kind of making us want to go and rewatch Schitt's Creek now. Can it follow in the footsteps of the sitcom LEGO sets that came before? That lies in the hands of the LEGO Ideas review team now. Here's a reminder of every other set that it's now going up against.
