The fifth series of the LEGO BrickLink Designer Program is underway and there are a few familiar creations that you may have seen elsewhere.
Whether they be rejected projects from LEGO Ideas that are hoping for a second chance at an official set or BrickLink Designer Program submissions resubmitted after being overlooked in a previous round, the fifth series of the LEGO BrickLink Designer Program has a lot of familiar territory.
Here are a few builds that we recognised from elsewhere as their users are aiming to find success in Series 5. You can also click here to see some impressive modular models.
5 – House in the Country
Pieces: 2,980 Stickers: 0 Minifigures: 4
Castor-troy's House in the Country has a similar design to their Snowy Morning in the Countryside project that was not approved for a set on LEGO Ideas. The BrickLink version depicts the abode in a different season with an alternate design for the roof.
4 – Northpoint School
Pieces: 2,970 Stickers: 0 Minifigures: 9
The modular Northpoint School by KingCreations has been submitted to both the fourth and fifth series of the BrickLink Designer Program. Hopefully, some lessons have been learnt for the resubmitted build in Series 5 to increase its chances of success.
3 – City Aquarium
Pieces: 3,359 Stickers: 2 Minifigures: 8
The City Aquarium by ver555 is hoping for more success in the fifth series than it faced in Series 4 too, adding six pieces to the design since the fourth phase of the BrickLink Designer Program.
2 – Shopping Center
Pieces: 3,599 Stickers: 0 Minifigures: 6
KingCreations has also resubmitted their modular Shopping Center after it was not picked in Series 4, clarifying that some adaptations for the palette and other detail improvements have been made.
1 – Castle of the Warriors
Pieces: 3,781 Stickers: 10 Minifigures: 12
Waterleaper's Castle of the Warriors in Series 5 should look familiar as they've resubmitted their Asgard Norse Mythology model with a different colour palette and minifigure selection.
