Following reviews for a pair of LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 1 sets, a look at the Old Train Engine Shed has revealed what fits inside.
Pre-orders for the five LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 1 sets are opening soon, on February 7, and the range includes Mind_the_Brick's Old Train Engine Shed. Ahead of the big day, various early reviews have surfaced online for the biggest three of the five sets. The various details in the Old Train Engine Shed include growing foliage, working tools and equipment and a modified back room that has been converted from a toilet as it was in the original LEGO Ideas project to an office.
"Is it worth €220 or $230?" questions RacingBrick. "At 2,331 pieces, it's a pretty big set but when I compare it to the LEGO modular buildings for example, you get more pieces there for a similar price.
"But this is not a LEGO product – it's a unique build that the LEGO Group wouldn't release normally. It is more like a MOC, a custom build, that you can buy all of the pieces for in one package from a single source.
"I really like the end result. The building experience is nice and balanced and all the details, the functions, the representations of the tools and other mechanical things are great. I'm not a diorama guy but this realisation is perhaps the closest to my taste in that area so I think it's worth the price."
