First look at inside of LEGO Pokémon's biggest box

LEGO Pokémon's biggest set is in the hands of one fan a month early, and they've shown off the intriguing contents of the $650 model.

LEGO Pokémon is coming soon, including the $650 72153 Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise. After quickly selling out during its pre-order phase, trippinbricks on Instagram has been sent a copy of the model early by a LEGO Certified Store. This means that the rest of us can see what awaits inside the box, though haven't finished the build at the time of writing.

The main black box has a fun detail of Poké Balls coloured according to each Pokémon type covered in 72153 Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise, and the details continue as they continue to unbox the model.

As is often the case with larger LEGO sets, the box of 72153 Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise is filled with three more boxes as well as an instruction manual for each Pokémon. These sub-boxes are designed to look like Poké Balls and feature the icons for their types on the back. Charizard is fire and flying, Blastoise is water, and Venusaur is grass and poison.

The instructions for each Pokémon include a section of their Pokédex entry, as we saw in the first look at 72151 Eevee. From this, it seems likely that 72152 Pikachu and Poké Ball will follow suit, but this is only speculation.

Trippinbricks confirms that 72153 Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise features 65 bags and that the build features no special Pokémon card, though the set's official description confirms there is some kind of reference to be found. They don't know what that might be just yet, but it's speculated by the comments that the Easter egg may be the emblems on the back of each box.

Trippinbricks has teased an update when the model is finished, but for now, 72153 Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise will be released on February 27. We recapped all of the February 2026 LEGO releases in our latest YouTube video.
