Five of Brick Fanatics' Top 20 LEGO sets are retiring in 2022

Five models featured in Brick Fanatics' Top 20 LEGO sets list are scheduled to retire in 2022, meaning time is running out to grab these great builds.

As mentioned in our list of every LEGO model retiring in 2022, recently updated for March, a quarter of the sets will no longer be available for purchase from online or physical LEGO stores.

With a massive amount of models retiring at the end of 2022, we're here to offer a reminder of which Top 20 builds you might want to purchase before the year ends.

5 – 21318 Tree House

Throughout 2021, 21318 Tree House was an especially popular LEGO Ideas set, frequently dipping in and out of stock. The demand seems to have settled since the last update as the model is available now worldwide, though it is on back order in the US.

Anyone aiming to add the natural abode to their home will want to do so before 2022 comes to a close and it leaves production for good alongside another LEGO Ideas set.

4 – 71741 NINJAGO City Gardens

The biggest LEGO NINJAGO model ever released, and the third in the NINJAGO City series, is retiring at the end of 2022. 71741 NINJAGO City Gardens includes exclusive minifigures, anniversary Easter eggs and a colourful construction built for display alone or attached to 70620 NINJAGO City and 70657 NINJAGO City Docks.

It's fair to say that there's nothing quite like 71741 NINJAGO City Gardens currently on the market and your opportunity to buy the multi-storey module will only last until the end of the year.

3 – 92176 NASA Apollo Saturn V

The other Top 20 LEGO Ideas set leaving production in 2022 is 92176 NASA Apollo Saturn V, the re-released version of 21309 NASA Apollo Saturn V.

This second chance at the rocket recreation is likely to be your very last opportunity to add the NASA model to your collection unless a third re-release is somehow launched.

2 – 71043 Hogwarts Castle

From a mission to the stars to the fictional world of wizards and witches, the small scale 71043 Hogwarts will no longer be available past 2022.

The biggest build in LEGO Harry Potter includes a school of microfigures with classic characters, students and faculty to depict your favourite scenes from the movies as this LEGO castle has a sizable interior.

1 – 71040 The Disney Castle

After six years on shelves, 71040 The Disney Castle will retire at the end of 2022. The LEGO Group has recently released a more affordable alternative – 40478 Mini Disney Castle, but it doesn't quite live up to larger theme park recreation.

In 2020, the Magic Kingdom version of this castle has been refurbished since the release of 71040 The Disney Castle, adding pink and a brighter blue to the colour scheme and causing the LEGO set to be slightly outdated. Despite that, there's no denying that the Disney model is one not to miss as noted in our review, and it will only no longer be in production in 2023.
