This summer’s rumoured LEGO Star Wars 75413 UT-AT is now expected to mark the minifigure debut of the Galactic Marines, 20 years after they first appeared on screens.
The Republic’s red Snowtrooper-like Clone Troopers made a brief but memorable appearance in Revenge of the Sith as they gunned down Ki-Adi Mundi during Order 66, but have never made any sort of appearance as physical LEGO minifigures. Instagram user and reliable rumour source lego_minecraft_goat (cross-posted by Clay_Bricks on reddit) says that’s set to change in 2025, however, as at least two Galactic Marines will apparently be included in 75413 UT-AT.
A LEGO Star Wars UT-AT was once on the cards for 2014, as revealed by the LEGO Star Wars Visual Dictionary, but never made it to shelves. The 2025 set is said to include 813 pieces for an eye-watering $149.99, and the latest reports suggest it will debut in August – the same release window as 75435 Clone Wars MTT, another $149.99 set belonging to the Separatist faction.
Those two vehicles could therefore be intended to act as counterparts in a wider battle (even if they’re canonically based on separate stories and appearances). There’s no word yet on which other characters might be included in 75413 UT-AT, but all signs are pointing towards a Mygeeto-inspired model, so a new LEGO Ki-Adi-Mundi minifigure – the first since 2018 – would make sense at a minimum.
Given the MTT is currently rumoured to include Commander Bly, Aayla Secura and somewhere in the region of 10 B1 Battle Droids, we can probably expect a relatively plentiful minifigure line-up in a $150 UT-AT – especially given the price-per-piece ratio is so poor. Of course, the finer details of this set could easily change between now and release (if it exists at all), so take everything lightly until outright confirmed by the LEGO Group.
