If LEGO logos are becoming the norm, can they all be Dunks?

With three LEGO logo sets launched in 2025 across Nike, Star Wars, and Marvel, 43008 Nike Dunk should be the blueprint moving forward.

43008 Nike Dunk, 76313 MARVEL Logo, and 75407 Star Wars Logo all hit shelves in 2025, but one stands head, shoulders, and basketball above the rest. While some on the Brick Fanatics team have been gradually won over after getting their hands on 76313 MARVEL Logo and 75407 Star Wars Logo respectively, putting all three side by side leaves them paling in comparison.

Starting with 75407 Star Wars Logo, it does what it says on the tin, offering a brick-built version of the iconic logo. However, apart from some hidden easter eggs under the yellow surface, there's very little else going on here: no minifigures, no play functions, no...nothing.

76313 MARVEL Logo goes a little bit further, including five minifigures that can pop out of the main logo build – although it's a headscratcher why Hawkeye wasn't included if the plan was to pay tribute to the original Avengers line-up.

When you come to 43008 Nike Dunk, there's a clear effort made to turn this set into more than just a logo. It's paired with a popular Dunk shoe and a basketball, picking out two icons associated with the brand. There's also the exclusive B’Ball Head minifigure, adding extra value to LEGO collectors which makes this not only tempting for fans of the Nike brand, but also for LEGO builders.

Applying the same logic to 76313 MARVEL Logo and 75407 Star Wars Logo, we could have seen tiny dioramas of iconic scenes, perhaps similar to what was included in 76466 Philosopher's Stone Collectors' Edition. We could have had exclusive minifigures from throughout Star Wars and Marvel history, or returning to a particularly famous moment.

76313 MARVEL Logo almost achieved that with its minifigures, but missing Hawkeye means it's not quite the OG gang. Plus, the minifigures themselves aren't much to write home about, with no arm printing and limited leg printing among them. You can find better versions of these characters elsewhere, meaning 76313 MARVEL Logo isn't that exciting from a LEGO collectors' standpoint.

For Star Wars, 75407 Star Wars Logo could have been the moment to give us Luke, Leia, and Han in a particularly detailed way, or perhaps the Skywalker family all included in one set for the first time.

As it stands, the focus of both 76313 MARVEL Logo and 75407 Star Wars Logo is purely the logo itself – but for £89.99 and £59.99 a piece, that's a steep price to pay for a glorified advert. 43008 Nike Dunk is priced the same as 76313 MARVEL Logo at £89.99, but includes so much, and that's still a licensed product made in collaboration with Nike.

For the same price, 43008 Nike Dunk includes an exclusive minifigure, two side-builds, and the logo itself. All of that creates simply a more well-rounded set that packs a much more powerful visual punch.

If LEGO logos are a new way to collaborate with brands, 43008 Nike Dunk is proof that it doesn't need to sap creativity or engaging build elements. Putting the basketball together is a feat of engineering and debuts yet another way to make a circular object out of rectangular LEGO bricks. The shoe opens up to create a space to store the exclusive minifigure, showcasing just another way that the 43008 Nike Dunk designers didn't sit on their laurels.

Where 76313 MARVEL Logo and 75407 Star Wars Logo play it safe and, at least to some, boring by sticking to the basics of a logo, 43008 Nike Dunk does a lot more for the same price, making it a genuine pleasure to carve out a space for Nike's logo on your shelf.
