Latest Star Wars: Ahsoka episode reveals LEGO minifigure error

The latest episode of Ahsoka on Disney+ has revealed a LEGO minifigure error and disproved a working theory about a reappearing Rebels character.

Warning: spoilers ahead for Ahsoka episode three.

The third episode of Ahsoka on Disney+ introduced us to the live-action version of Jacen Syndulla, son of Hera Syndulla and Kanan Jarrus who was last seen in the series finale of Star Wars: Rebels. The human-Twilek hybrid was shown to have green hair in the animated show and his live-action counterpart has the same distinctive colouring (albeit with a slightly more muted green).

However, an early look at the minifigure version of Jacen in 75357 Ghost & Phantom II saw him sporting brown hair, causing many to think that the character might have gotten a redesign in the five years since Rebels ended. However, his appearance in Ahsoka has disproved that working theory.

While this does mean that the Jacen minifigure is now incorrect, this is an easier mistake to make on the part of the LEGO Group than you might think. Disney is well-known for keeping a tight hold on any details of its various shows, especially for franchises as big as Marvel, Star Wars, and more. That means that LEGO Star Wars designers may not have a lot of information to work from. Alternatively, details might change as TV shows and films are produced but the long lead-times of LEGO sets mean that designers can't make relatively last-minute changes.

Whatever the case, it's a shame that minifigure Jacen Syndulla doesn't match his live-action or animated counterpart exactly. We can only hope that Jacen endures in the Star Wars franchise long enough to feature in more LEGO Star Wars sets, now with the correct hair colour.

On the other hand, you could always customise your Jacen minifigure with a green hairpiece. This swept-back element on BrickLink could suit Jacen's longer style well, but there are plenty more options here and here to get your Jacen to look as accurate as you want.
