LEGO Star Wars 75388 Jedi Bob’s Starfighter officially revealed

The LEGO Group has finally revealed the third LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy set with 75388 Jedi Bob’s Starfighter, which brings a cult character back to shelves for the first time in 22 years.

Despite the fact retailers all over the US have been putting it out on store shelves ahead of its August 1 release date, the LEGO Group has waited until San Diego Comic-Con to properly unveil 75388 Jedi Bob’s Starfighter, the third and final product in a trio of summer sets hooked to the upcoming Disney+ animated special Rebuild the Galaxy.

Clocking in at 305 pieces for £34.99 / $39.99 / €39.99, 75388 Jedi Bob’s Starfighter serves up a new and original Delta-7B Aethersprite-class light interceptor in red and white, then pimps it out with additional engines and side cannons. Those tweaks are a clear nod to 75087 Anakin’s Custom Jedi Starfighter from the 2003 Clone Wars TV series.

Jedi Bob is easily the star of the show, returning almost one-for-one from 2002’s 7163 Republic Gunship – save for some heavy wear on the torso to betray his age – but he’s also accompanied by an Ackbar Trooper and a Gonk Droid named Servo (SR-V0). While the narrative behind this character selection is a mystery for now, we’ll presumably learn more when Rebuild the Galaxy drops on September 13.

75388 Jedi Bob’s Starfighter launches August 1, 2024. It’s not available to pre-order at LEGO.com, so you’ll have to wait for release day to get your hands on it alongside the rest of the summer LEGO Star Wars sets.
