LEGO Art and Botanicals are crossing over this summer

A newly revealed LEGO Art set is actually an official crossover with the LEGO Botanicals range, mixing with other recent sets.

The LEGO Group has officially lifted the curtain on 31217 The Fauna Collection – Tiger. Despite the lack of pre-orders, unlike the two new LEGO Botanicals sets, the new LEGO tiger is the first crossover between LEGO Art and LEGO Botanicals. That's not referring to the various LEGO flowers and plants included around the tiger head, which may be a reference to another theme.

Those flowers can be removed from the sides of the model, and they're only connected by Technic axles. The official description for the set confirms that the LEGO Group intends for you to switch these flowers out for entries from the LEGO Botanicals range.

It's the first official crossover between LEGO Art and LEGO Botanicals, and there are a few current plant sets suitable for placing around the tiger head. 10345 Flower Arrangement has some of the most compatible flowers, but any with a stem with a Technic axle should work fine, as long as they're angled so as not to interfere with the wall.

The flowers in 31217 The Fauna Collection – Tiger can be mixed into LEGO Botanicals sets too, but they don't seem to be based on any specific species. LEGO Botanicals and Art crossing paths could open the door for more mixed-theme models in the future.

The two themes share numerous similarities, including an older target audience, aside from the new 10349 Happy Plants, which is aimed at ages nine and up. 31217 The Fauna Collection – Tiger will be released on June 1, 2025
