Aston Villa Women has confirmed the details of its first workshop in partnership with the LEGO Group, including how to reserve a spot.
The LEGO Group first announced its 'Play Unstoppable' campaign back in June, highlighting its goals to empower girls and young women. Part of this campaign is the 'Unstoppable FC' initiative, which aims to teach girls self-belief, resilience and other practical skills. Four top football players, England’s Beth Mead, Rachel Daly and Lauren Hemp, and Australia’s Sam Kerr, will all take part in the initiative, leading workshops for young girls in collaboration with Women’s Super League teams like Arsenal WFC, Aston Villa WFC and Chelsea FC Women throughout autumn.
The first of these has now been confirmed at Aston Villa, taking place on September 14 at 5pm at Brookvale Academy, Witton Road, Birmingham. It will invite girls aged between seven and nine to take part in a coaching clinic that is co-hosted by Lioness Rachel Daly.
