LEGO Batman 85th anniversary continues with movie recreation 

The 85th anniversary of Batman doesn’t appear to be over in the LEGO Group’s eyes as they’ve recreated the 1989 movie to watch for free. 

As you might expect for the low price of free on YouTube, it’s nowhere near the full movie but the official video documents some of the most important parts of the film, recreating them with minifigures and elements. 

Some of the minifigures and models featured in the video have long since been retired, showcasing just far back the LEGO coverage of the 1989 iteration of Batman goes. You can watch the new LEGO video by clicking below. 

Sets featured in the movie recreation include 76224 Batmobile: Batman vs. The Joker Chase and 76265 Batwing: Batman vs. The Joker but there are additional minifigures from the retired 76139 1989 Batmobile too. Some of the background builds are especially impressive too and may inspire more fan-made recreations based on the film. 

Given the recent anniversary video for Batman from the LEGO Group. It will be interesting to see whether this is the only movie recreation to be released in the coming weeks as there’s much more that could be covered. Using currently available sets, Batman: The Animated Series would be a good contender for another video. 

Next year is rumoured to be exciting for DC enthusiasts, including a new The Dark Knight model.
