LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 2 finalists confirmed

Five finalists for the BrickLink Designer Program Series 2 have been announced ahead of crowdfunding next year.

With crowdfunding planned to begin in June 2024, the five sets that are now confirmed for the BrickLink Designer Program Series 2 have been revealed. These sets were decided by fan votes via the BrickLink Designer Program, another way for fans to get their own designs as official LEGO shelves outside of LEGO Ideas.

The five sets are Logging Railway, The Ocean House, Mushroom House, Brick Cross Train Station, and Ominous House. With four buildings among the five sets, there's still a lot of diversity among the group, ranging from a rustic beachside structure to a colourful mushroom home, complete with hobbit-like people to live in it.

Ominous House is similarly fantastical, evoking the same style as 10320 Eldorado Fortress, with tropical plants and a fortress gate that would make for an ideal pairing with the LEGO Icons set. On the other hand, Brick Cross Train Station is based squarely in the real world, offering a curved glass ceiling and several archways to mark the entrance, complete with a station hall and cafe for minifigure passengers to grab a bite to eat before the journey.

Speaking of journeys, the fifth and final set is Logging Railway, featuring a sturdy brick-built bridge for a steam train to take its lumber away after a hard day's work.

Crowdfunding on the five confirmed models will begin in June 2024, with any that reach at least 3,000 backers moving into production. A total of 20,000 copies of each set will be available to pre-order, with a maximum of two per household.
