LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 5 Mini-Build contest now live

A new LEGO BrickLink Designer Program contest tied to the Series 5 finalists is now live, with a challenge to create a miniature masterpiece.

The full list of submissions for the LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 8 was announced yesterday, with nearly 400 builds all vying for fan support. In addition, the final designs and official prices for the five finalists in the LEGO BrickLink Designer Program 5 were recently revealed, with crowdfunding for the models due to start in June.

To support the latter, the LEGO BrickLink Designer Program has launched a new competition that’s looking for creative mini-builds based around Series 5. Fan designers are being encouraged to make tiny versions of the finalists’ models, with all submissions due by June 2, 2025 at 12pm PST.

As few as 10 parts are required per LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 5 mini-build and up to a maximum of 300 elements, Design requirements for the competition state that models must have two dimensions (length x width x height) that should be eight studs/bricks or less, with slight overhangs of one stud or less permitted.

Finished Series 5 mini-builds must be uploaded to the LEGO BrickLink site no later than the specified date, be 100% original and include the #series5minibuild tag.

All participants who submit an entry for the competition will receive a LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 5 mini-build badge, with each winning design also getting a copy of the larger set that their model is based on.

The full list of winners for the LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 5 mini-build contest will be announced on June 9, 2025, with prizes due to ship at product launch in October 2025.
