LEGO is celebrating Diwali with a free Make and Take event

Those in the UK and Ireland can build a free Diwali-themed LEGO build and take it home with them in a festive event.

On November 2, the day after Diwali ends, LEGO stores in the UK and Ireland are offering the chance to build a brick-built rangoli – a type of traditional Indian decoration and patterns made with ground rice. There are three pattern options to choose from so you can make the build your own.

The LEGO Rangoli is free to build and take home with you between 10am and midday on November 2 but only while stocks last, so it's certainly worth getting there early to avoid disappointment. Most UK and Ireland stores are taking part, excluding LEGO Store Birmingham - Utilita Arena, LEGO Store LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, and LEGO Store Manchester - Trafford Palazzo. You can find your local store and see if it's taking part here.

There's a limit of one LEGO Rangoli build per person and is intended for children aged six and up. Diwali is a five-day Hindu festival that celebrates the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance and this free event is a great way for young builders to get in on the fun and learn about the festival.
