LEGO City Formula 1 set will park up later than first thought

LEGO City Formula 1 set will park up later than first thought

Although the majority of the LEGO City Formula 1 wave is already out and available to buy, one set is still conspicuously absent.

According to the original LEGO press release, the entire LEGO City Formula 1 wave, made up of six sets that cover all 10 teams, should have been available to buy at the same time on January 1, 2025. Five of them did but one, 60474 F1 Grid with VCARB & Sauber Race Cars, is still missing from LEGO.com.

Priced at £24.99 / $29.99 / €29.99, the LEGO City set has already been revealed in pictures but no official listing has ever appeared on LEGO.com. Now that January is well underway and the rest of the wave is out in the world, it seems pretty clear that the set is delayed.

Some third-party retailers like Brick Shop have the set listed with a March 1 release date, which would align with the start of the Formula 1 season. Brick Fanatics has reached out to the LEGO Group for confirmation on the release date but it looks like March is the likely slot, even if that's not confirmed just yet.

Although you might not be able to buy 60474 F1 Grid with VCARB & Sauber Race Cars, you can buy the rest of the LEGO City Formula 1 wave, the very first sets to release in 2025, the year of the LEGO Group's multi-theme partnership with Formula 1. If you're unsure of where to start, check out our detailed reviews of each of the sets below.
