One person's custom minifigure design is another person's ultimate LEGO Castle-inspired Halloween costume.
Custom minifigures can look however you want them to look – or you could just turn yourself into a minifigure instead. redditor CorellianCat did just that for their Halloween costume this year, creating an impressively authentic LEGO Castle-inspired Black Falcon look.
It's an impressive overall feat, complete with the Black Falcon sigil on the tabard and shield, along with the signature helmet and sword. Everything that's not custom-made by the original poster was found on Amazon, so it could be recreated by other Castle fans too.
There are some tweaks made, like the lack of chainmail coif and the inverted colours on the tabard sigil. The latter was a mistake in the printing but the former was a deliberate choice to keep the design closer to the '80s look. That's echoed in keeping the under layer of clothing black, rather than grey.
Regardless of the minor differences, the final look is getting a lot of love online. With nearly 1,000 upvotes at the time of writing, it's going down well with those in the LEGO community.
"Watch out for the guy trick or treating in the Lion Knight costume," joked one commenter. "I have a feeling the two of you won’t get along."
"Looks great! You’ll have to update us tomorrow and let us know how many people recognize you," added another, with others wondering if this costume would be a good way to find fellow LEGO fans at a renaissance fair.
