LEGO Destiny 2 arrives thanks to Fortnite

Those hoping for more LEGO minifigures based on games have Fortnite to thank for the latest collaboration as LEGO Destiny 2 is here.

Bungie's Destiny 2 video game now has a trio of digital-only LEGO minifigures via the LEGO Group and Epic Games' collaboration in Fortnite. Fortnite's existing outfits for Commander Zavala, Ikora Rey and the Exo Stranger now have LEGO styles and have returned to the in-game item shop.

While none of these is currently likely ever to appear physically, it's another odd but intriguing LEGO collaboration that has arrived by way of LEGO Fortnite and follows that of Avatar: The Last Airbender, Billie Eilish and more.

All three LEGO styles are available in a bundle alongside the original outfits and more Destiny 2 cosmetics for 2,700 V-Bucks or alongside their corresponding outfit only for 1,500 V-Bucks each. The digital minifigures include one specialised element for Commander Zavala's armour and they can all be used within LEGO Fortnite or the various LEGO Islands.

Though LEGO Destiny 2 may never happen physically, another highly-anticipated gaming collaboration is finally on the way later this year.
