LEGO DREAMZzz free Turtle Van make and take event announced

To celebrate the imminent launch of LEGO DREAMZzz sets, official stores will be hosting a free Turtle Van make and take event next month.

After months of build-up, a new LEGO theme will finally arrive next month, bringing with it a whole host of unique and unusual models. The first wave of LEGO DREAMZzz sets launches on August 1, bringing with it a variety of 11 builds to complement the existing animated TV series.

The models essentially combine different random items into one, creating hybrid builds that could only exist in the Dream Realm. For instance, take 71456 Mrs. Castillo’s Turtle Van, a bizarre set that mashes together a (yes) giant turtle called Señor Tortuga with a VW-style camper van. The strange ride is just one example of the pure creativity and imagination that’s being unleashed with the theme and the set is also the focus of an upcoming make and take event.

LEGO Stores will be giving visitors the chance to pick up a mini Turtle Van model when they pop into their nearest retail location from 10am to 12pm on August 2 and August 3. A limited quantity of the build will be available on each day on a first come first served basis, while stocks last.

A trailer for Season 2 of the LEGO DREAMZzz series was recently shown exclusively during San Diego Comic-Con 2023, although there’s currently no release date set for the returning show.
