LEGO Fortnite is joining the club of modular gaming themes

The smallest of the four new LEGO Fortnite sets brings the range into the collection of gaming themes with a modular building system.

The LEGO Group's recent exploration of game-based themes has come with a notable trend of modularity, but almost always in a different form. Two of the four upcoming LEGO Fortnite 2025 sets bring the theme into this collection one year after its launch, with their own modular building system.

77075 Peely & Sparkplug's Camp and 77076 Durrr Burger Restaurant have something in common beyond their intrinsic link to LEGO Fortnite Odyssey and their minifigures. They both use the same style of bases with modular components.

77076 Durrr Burger Restaurant's structure is situated on a Modified 8 x 16 x 2/3 with 1 x 4 Indentations with some additional modules on plates to attach to the front and sides of the restaurant.

77075 Peely & Sparkplug's Camp's ruin build is on a smaller indentation plate with similar sections that you can add on to the sides. The two should be able to mix and match with their modules and each other to create a larger LEGO Fortnite Odyssey display.

This is nothing new for a LEGO gaming theme, with the likes of Minecraft, Animal Crossing and Super Mario all having their own modular building system to make custom islands, worlds and courses.

Given that LEGO Fortnite has an in-game modular building system, it was only a matter of time before the theme joined this club. There are only two sets with such modularity, for now, as 77077 Klombo focuses on the creature, and 77078 Mecha Team Leader is all about the mech.

It will be worth keeping an eye on this fourth LEGO gaming theme building system in case it expands in the future. These two sets launch on June 1. 77078 Mecha Team Leader is being held back until August 1, but pre-orders for the massive mech are open now.
