LEGO Fortnite's latest cursed minifigure has been unveiled as part of the game's new Scooby-Doo collaboration, changing LEGO piece rules.
Following in the oddly square-shaped footsteps of the LEGO Fortnite IG-11 minifigure is a new LEGO depiction of iconic Great Dane Scooby-Doo. The franchise has come to Fortnite, starting with Shaggy and Scooby, for Fortnitemares 2025, and while most of Mystery Inc. looks similar to their physical 2015 counterparts, Scooby-Doo has changed significantly.
Scooby's new Fortnite outfit features the dog on his hind legs, as he is known to do while creeping around, allowing him to properly hold items. To translate that to a LEGO Style, Scooby has made his debut as a LEGO minifigure.
Rather than using the existing LEGO Scooby-Doo figure piece, the LEGO Fortnite team have stuck Scooby's unique moulded head element on a standard minifigure body, printing his exposed paws on the legs. To say that this looks unusual would be an understatement, and it's not physically possible with the official LEGO elements.
Scooby's head can connect to LEGO pins, but only those of mini-dolls or baby figures which use smaller pins than minifigure torsos. LEGO Fortnite breaks the rules by attaching Scooby's head to a minifigure body, which somehow makes this minifigure even more cursed.
Cursed as it may be, it's a fun return to LEGO Scooby-Doo 10 years after the theme debuted, and the rest of Mystery Inc. is confirmed to be coming to Fortnite over the course of Fortnitemares 2025, likely with matching minifigures. There are no physical LEGO Scooby-Doo sets currently available, but the partnership lives on digitally.
