LEGO Fortnite Loot Llama model spotted in the wild

The first-ever physical LEGO Fortnite model has been spotted in the wild, with 5008257 MS LLAMA V29 given away free at a promotional event.

LEGO Fortnite is finally due to drop today, although there’s currently no sign of the highly-anticipated survival crafting adventure game mode. That could all change at any moment though, with fans eagerly-awaiting their chance to test out the results of the collaboration between the LEGO Group and Epic Games.

Ahead of LEGO Fortnite’s arrival, in-hand images of the first-ever physical LEGO Fortnite model have now emerged, giving us a closer look at the recently-revealed set. A listing on the Product Certification page back in October provided initial details on 5008257 MS LLAMA V29, followed by the model's appearance in the background of the Fortnite lobby, and now we have clearer pictures of the build.

The small LEGO Fortnite polybag appears to have been give away for free at a recent in-person promotional event, with Twitter user iFireMonkey managing to pick up one of the models and showcasing it on social media. There are no details regarding the piece count of the set or if it will receive a wider launch, but comments on the user’s post certainly suggest that plenty of fans want to get their hands on the model.

The assembled 5008257 MS LLAMA V29 matches the look of its Product Certification listing, complete with various blue, purple and pink elements. The model’s ears, mouth and legs appear to have some limited poseability and there’s room on the animal’s back to place a minifigure, if you so wished.

The LEGO Group hasn’t made any comments to date regarding whether or not more physical LEGO Fortnite sets will be released at some point. For now, fans will at least be able to get to grips with the virtual world the two companies have created, just as soon as Fortnite receives its latest update, that is.
