A new season of the Battle Pass is live in Fortnite, but LEGO Fortnite is steering clear of the pass' main collaboration this time.
Following a LEGO Baymax skin last season, Chapter 6 Season 2's Battle Pass is lighter on collaborations, and the LEGO Fortnite team are steering clear of them entirely this time. Much like the Godzilla skin last season, there's no LEGO style or a corresponding LEGO emote for the only licensed skin in the new Battle Pass – Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat.
While there's no sign of digital LEGO Mortal Kombat minifigures to join the likes of Destiny and short-limbed Avatar minifigures in LEGO Fortnite, the franchise's high level of violence and gore might explain why the LEGO Group is as averse to the series as it was to Godzilla last season.
Thankfully, the new Battle Pass still has quite a bit for LEGO Fortnite players to enjoy across seven skins with LEGO Styles and six emotes that can be used in LEGO Fortnite too. Of these, Baron's Hoard makes use of the NINJAGO wolf mask element – the latest cameo from the theme in Fortnite after a dedicated LEGO Island last year.
The new Lawless Battle Pass is available now in Fortnite for 1,000 V-Bucks (Fortnite's in-game currency) and you'll need to earn experience to make your way through the various levels of the pass and redeem the rewards. One good way of earning experience in-game is to play LEGO Brick Life, which was just updated this week.
