The LEGO Group is trialling a new kind of strategy for the reveal of the next LEGO Fortnite update, which will take one week to be unveiled.
A LEGO Fortnite livestream starts tomorrow, August 31, at 15:00pm CEST / 09:00am ET and will run all day for one week. It's not just for fun and ambience though as the 168-hour livestream will slowly reveal the next update for LEGO Fortnite in real-time.
The premiere for the video is now live, in case you want to see when the livestream starts in your time zone. While various other brands across pop culture have employed a similar strategy to reveal new details in the past, we can't recall the LEGO Group ever doing the same.
The community may have to watch the livestream in shifts to catch every detail of the new update that is revealed, but an information roundup will likely be shared officially after it ends next week. For now, we can only glare at the thumbnail, which features a Dry Valley biome next to a Shores biome with a river running through the two.
Nothing more can be gleaned from the thumbnail and this location may not relate to the contents of the next LEGO Fortnite update. For now, we can only wait for the livestream to start tomorrow to see what is coming after the addition of Fast Travel to the survival-crafting mode.
In the meantime, you can click here to see some of the comments from a recent roundtable with the team behind the four upcoming LEGO Fortnite sets.
