LEGO Ideas 21366 Floating Sea Otters officially revealed

The 74th LEGO Ideas set has been revealed in the form of 21366 Floating Sea Otters, expanding on Maximilian Lambrecht's adorable submission.

The LEGO Ideas team have officially revealed 21366 Floating Sea Otters almost one year after the project by Maximilian Lambrecht, or HisBrickMaterials, was approved. This is LEGO Ideas set number 74, following 21376 Orange Cat, and it will be launched on the same day as that set on March 1, 2026. This model will cost £99.99 in the UK, $119.99 in the US, and €109.99 in Europe.

The official build follows in the footsteps of Lambrecht's project, but with a more accurate colour scheme based on real sea otters. The head now uses more light brown elements, but the core concept of the model remains the same.

The 1,234-piece build is depicted half-submerged in water on a black base and comes with a couple of accessories to place on top of its stomach as it floats. You can choose between an adorable pup figure or a clam for the otter to eat from to change up the display.

The finished build measures 30cm long and 8cm tall. You can combine two of the otter sets to make a bigger display depicting them holding hands while they sleep. There are some notable elements in this set as well, such as the transparent pagoda roof plates representing ripples in the water.
