The first LEGO Ideas '90s fan vote divides Brick Fanatics

Alongside another surprise future set announcement, the LEGO Ideas team have started the first '90s challenge fan vote, dividing the Brick Fanatics team.

The opening act of the two LEGO Ideas '90s challenges, with a much bigger budget, has entered the fan vote stage, revealing exactly which five finalists are in contention for a future set and handing the reins over to the community.

All five builds and their franchises have been sit fit for a future LEGO model but only one can come out on top from this first challenge. The options include The Fifth Element, Edward Scissorhands, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Jumanji and The X-Files. It's going to be an interesting couple of weeks as LEGO Ideas users have a single vote to cast on their favourite finalist – a decision which has already divided opinions in the Brick Fanatics team.

You can watch our new YouTube video by clicking below to see what Matthew thinks of the five finalists and which one stands the best chance at winning the favour of the community before February 21.

Once you've tuned in, click here to see what another member of the Brick Fanatics team thinks of the five finalists in the fan vote, with some drastically different opinions that prove that it's hard to predict exactly which model will win. Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments here and on YouTube too.

Whichever build comes out on top, this is sure to be an exciting future release for LEGO Ideas and there's a second LEGO Ideas '90s challenge currently live too that will result in another model. Both are to be announced by June 2 at the latest.
