LEGO Ideas 40698 Books Are My Passion is now available worldwide, bringing the fan-designed build into reality for the first time.
Designed by fan designer Fr_An as part of the LEGO Ideas challenge Me, Myself, and I, 40698 Books Are My Passion is available now on all LEGO orders over £120 / $130 / €130. That's notably £10 less than what was originally reported on the LEGO Ideas blog, which is good news for UK LEGO fans.
The GWP will be available until November 11, or while stocks last. With two more set-exclusive GWPs – 5009015 Cerebro for 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion and 5009005 Entrance Gate for 21353 The Botanical Garden – coming on November 1, there's some merit in waiting to make your purchases at the beginning of next month and getting 40698 Books Are My Passion with one or both of the other GWPs.
However, there's no guarantee that stock of the LEGO Ideas GWP will last until November 1. If you're absolutely desperate to get your hands on the reading-themed gift-with-purchase (and it's certainly an impressive build, as we noted in our review), then don't wait around for it to potentially disappear from the store.
Some new-for-2024 sets will instantly qualify you for the free gift, like the seasonally appropriate 21351 The Nightmare Before Christmas or 21350 Jaws, perfect for film fans. You might also want to choose a retiring set, like 21338 A-Frame Cabin, which has similarly cosy vibes to 40698 Books Are My Passion.
