Brick-built Forrest Gump returns to LEGO Ideas, now as a fully-fledged project rather than a competition entry design.
Fan designer Mind the Brick is back with Forrest Gump – Suitcase of Memories, building on their experience putting the design forward for a '90s-inspired LEGO Ideas competition. Although then it was part of the fan vote, it was beaten in the end by Wallace & Gromit. Now Forrest Gump is back, hoping to become a complete LEGO Ideas set.
There doesn't seem to be many changes between the two designs, featuring a brick-built suitcase that opens up to reveal Forrest himself as a minifigure, sitting on the park bench with the iconic quote behind him: "Life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get."
Forrest Gump – Suitcase of Memories becomes the 93rd project in the second 2025 review round, joining a record-breaking number of other fan-designed models.
