LEGO Ideas journeys back to the classical past with a brick-built Roman Forum

After winning a few LEGO Ideas competitions, one fan designer has now graduated to the 10K Club with a fan-designed Roman Forum.

Fan designer Brickcar13's Roman Forum depicts the heart of any Roman town, offering a detailed recreation of a classical square. It features the temple itself, where the emperor would have spent time receiving offerings, as well as smaller buildings that house various Roman businesses, like the tavern, the Roman baths, the armoury and smithy, and workshops for clay, stone carving and carpentry.

In a surefire way to help anyone fall in love with a LEGO scene, there are also 14 minifigures and a diverse range of animals, from rats and a cat to cows, sheep, and goats.

Roman Forum is intended to help people learn about Roman life, according to the fan designer. It becomes the 15th set in the LEGO Ideas review, joining a number of other fan-designed projects. Check out the competition in the table below.
