LEGO Ideas community takes off in a brick-built CESSNA

The LEGO Ideas community has sent a brick-built CESSNA soaring into the skies and past the all-important 10,000 supporter milestone.

French fan designer Bryan (who goes by Bryan92609 on the Ideas platform) has entered the 10K Club for the very first time with CESSNA 185 Skywagon. Made up of 2,248 parts, the brick-built plane is based on the classic six-seater, single-engine Cessna 185.

While also being an authentic build to display for plane enthusiasts, the set includes various play features, with all the main flight controls available to interact with from the roof and sides of the fuselage. The front wheels can also be deployed for 'landing'.

For those who want to get stuck in under the hood, the nose panels can be opened to reveal the two-cylinder engine block, while the rear trunk opens up to provide storage for various brick-built accessories, including a first aid kit, camping backpack, canteen, flashlight, map, camping stove, and a teddy bear.

CESSNA 185 Skywagon becomes the 34th LEGO Ideas project in the third and final review round of 2025, putting it up against varied competition. Check out every qualified fan-designed project in the table down below.
