The successful winner of the LEGO Ideas Dungeons & Dragons Building Instructions Cover challenge has now been crowned.
LEGO Ideas announced its second Dungeons & Dragons challenge back in April of this year, with creative fans tasked with designing suitable artwork for the cover of the building instructions to be included with an upcoming model based on the successful Dragon’s Keep: Journey’s End submission by BoltBuilds.

Following months of waiting and a fan vote, the lucky winner of the challenge has now been announced, with fan creator chainsaw yu revealed to be triumphant. You can see their striking building instructions cover design above, which includes a dragon (of course), a warrior, a dwarf, an elf and many other familiar themes from the popular tabletop RPG series.
Details of the winner also mentions that there’s currently no release date set for the LEGO Ideas Dungeons & Dragons set, although it’s likely it may be sometime in 2024. The official announcement also states that the final building instructions cover art may differ from the successful submission.

BoltBuilds’ winning design was based around a 3,000 piece model, complete with a dragon, a beholder, changing doors to allow for different routes to be taken and stories to be told, a witches’ tower, a tavern, a dungeon and a crypt.
