The LEGO Ideas team has announced who has won its latest fan designer competition, revealing the set now on its way to becoming an official GWP.
Run to celebrate Singles' Day, LEGO Ideas put out a call for LEGO fan designs related to the theme of 'Me, Myself, and I'. 15 designs were selected and opened up for a public vote, ranging from builds inspired by gardening, going to the spa, buying yourself flowers, and beloved pets, among others.
Now, the LEGO Ideas team has announced that the winner is Reading, Reading, Reading by FR_AN, a fan designer from Poland. The build features a tall bookshelf, complete with a ladder so its minifigure can access all the books, and topped off with minute details, such as a globe and a cosy armchair to read in with a cup of tea or coffee.

LEGO Ideas the five runners-up: Embracing Your Passions by Martin Studio, Relaxing in Winter Spa by JayBricks2019, Journeys Unleashed: Epic Expeditions by Boat, Plane, and Train by Framboosei, I Can Buy Myself Flowers by CreatorLauren, and Tiny Vegetable Garden by Plaatart. These compact fan builds showcases various self-care inspired activities, such as travel, soaking in a hot tub, and getting stuck into nature.
Nonetheless, it was Reading, Reading, Reading that triumphed overall, meaning that the fan design will now be made into an official LEGO gift-with-purchase, in a collaboration with the LEGO Ideas team. As with all LEGO Ideas sets, some changes may be made to make the design shelf-ready, but the cosiness of FR_AN's original design means that we're hoping the designer team don't need to make too many changes.
The reading nook build joins Tribute to Galileo Galilei as another GWP-in-progress sparked by a fan design competition. There's no word yet on when either of the GWPs will be available to take home and build for yourself, but we'll be sure to keep you posted when we know.
