After it was passed for a set earlier this year, Edward Scissorhands has another chance on LEGO Ideas thanks to The Goonies' fan designer.
The first '90s IP challenge on LEGO Ideas didn't result in an Edward Scissorhands model, despite one being pitched as a finalist submission, but a different depiction of the movie's classic castle and garden has been proposed for a set.

The castle is much more gothic inside, with detailed architecture and a spacious central room. The contrast between this space and the gardens is interesting and would make for a visually appealing model.
This submission has now joined the third 2024 review, as the 37th project to be considered for a future set. It is not guaranteed for an official model just yet, but there's a chance.
