LEGO Ideas will be welcoming its 52nd successful fan-designed set next month, with the arrival of 21344 The Orient Express Train. The 2,540-piece model will be steaming into stores and online from December 1 with eight minifigures, a locomotive, a coal tender, two passenger cars and a retail price of £259.99 / $299.99 / €299.99.
21344 The Orient Express Train is based on an original design by Thomas Lajon (also known as LEt.sGO), whose creative submission managed to gain 10,000 supporters and successfully shunt its way through to the first 2022 LEGO Ideas review.
With the arrival of 21344 The Orient Express Train due in just a few short weeks, it’s now been announced that Lajon will be signing copies of his set in person at the LEGO Store Leicester Square. The event is taking place from 10am to 11am on December 1, the same day that the LEGO Ideas model will be released.
If you’re planning on attending, you’ll be able to pick up a copy of 21344 The Orient Express Train in person (while stocks last) and then get the build signed by the man who started it all. Note that there's a limit of two sets per person and you may want to get there early enough to beat the queue.
