LEGO Ideas 21344 The Orient Express Train designer signings start tomorrow

The fan designer behind 21344 The Orient Express Train will kick off a six-date signing tour for the LEGO Ideas set starting from tomorrow.

The 52nd LEGO Ideas set chuffs online and into stores tomorrow, with 21344 The Orient Express Train releasing on December 1 priced at £259.99 / $299.99 / €299.99. The model includes 2,540 pieces and boasts a brick-built locomotive, a coal tender, two luxurious passenger cars and eight minifigures.

As well as being able to pick up the set from tomorrow, some lucky fans will get the chance to meet the man behind the initial design of 21344 The Orient Express Train in person. Thomas Lajon (also known as LEt.sGO) was lucky enough to see his original creation make it through the first 2022 LEGO Ideas review and ultimately become a physical model.

Now Lajon will be taking part in a six-date tour to promote the launch of 21344 The Orient Express Train, which starts at the LEGO Store Leicester Square from 10am-11am on December 1, culminating at the LEGO Store So Ouest on December 9 from 10am-12pm.

Those in attendance on any of the dates listed above will be able to to pick up 21344 The Orient Express Train (while stocks last) and potentially get their copies of the LEGO Ideas build signed by Lajon himself. According to LEGO Ideas Design Manager Jordan Scott, Lajon was closely involved with the process of bringing the LEGO Ideas set to shelves and that he was ‘very happy’ with the final look of the finished model.
