LEGO Ideas Pixar set officially confirmed

Another upcoming LEGO Ideas set has been officially confirmed, recreating an iconic mascot of animation from Pixar – Luxo Jr.

Placed at the start of most Pixar movies, everyone will have seen Luxo Jr, even if you don't know their name. The Pixar mascot was originally proposed to become an official set by user T0BY1KENOBI25150. During the third LEGO Ideas Review results of 2023, the LEGO Ideas team shared that they needed more time to determine whether this would be suitable for a model.

Now the decision has been made and LEGO Luxo Jr. is officially coming to shelves in the future. The fan-designed project proposes a figure of the lamp character (or a LEGO lamp) that can be posed to match his movements in Pixar movie introductions, as well as the iconic Luxo ball using some intriguing building techniques.

The submission doesn't appear to use too many elements compared to most LEGO Ideas sets, but the designers may opt to increase the size during the transformation from project to product.

For now, we're awaiting further details on this LEGO Ideas Pixar set but at least we know with certainty that we'll one day be able to own a LEGO Luxo Jr. It joins the long list of upcoming LEGO Ideas models.
