LEGO Ideas embraces a slice of Transylvanian life with 10K submission

A traditional Transylvanian gate recreated in brick form is the latest LEGO Ideas submission to have made it into the third review of 2025.

It’s been a busy 24 hours for LEGO Ideas, with five new sets emerging from the first review of 2025 (plus a sixth moving out of the Parking Lot), as well as multiple fan-designed models making it into the third review of 2025.

The latter line-up of sets currently under consideration now includes Szekler Gate (Székelykapu), which has been created by LEGO Ideas member, Koppeczky. Assembled from less than 1,000 pieces, the model is based on similar traditional gates that can be found in some parts of Eastern Transylvania.

Szekler Gate (Székelykapu) looks to be a fairly simple build, recreating the gate itself in various brown elements, with a selection of coloured pieces to represent its ornamentation. The decorative parts symbolise the many beliefs of the local people, such as the sun, the six-petalled sunflower (Rosetta), tulips and the rotating roses, reflecting man and woman.

The LEGO Ideas 10K submission also features three opening gates and a minifigure of a traditional Transylvanian guard armed with two different weapons, as well as a companion dog figure and a decorative stone path.

Szekler Gate (Székelykapu) joins 29 other fan designs that are currently sitting in the third LEGO Ideas review of 2025, with the announcement of which models might become future physical sets due early next year.
